Rocky Mountain Reflections

For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 1 Corinthians 13:12

It’s a wonderful thing to be known. It’s even more beautiful to be known by someone who loves, admires and respects what they see when they look at you. We crave intimacy and love…it’s a longing that hounds and haunts us if it’s unfulfilled. For the past three months, I have had the sweetest pleasure in being known and getting to know an amazing man.  I have a love that brings me joys I never expected. I just wanted to take a moment to thank God for him and this incredible season in my life.

I pray that if you don’t have love in your life right now, that you will turn to our sweet Lord, who knows you better than you know yourself. He can fulfill those intimate longings, those groanings for love that stir so deeply down inside us. We were created to be known…let Him know you…let Him love you.

“The Narrows” is a famous section of the Colorado Big Thompson Canyon that narrowly twists and turns. Sometimes you cannot see the road ahead of you, all you see is mountains. Note the car on the far right for size perspective.

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” Matthew 7:13

I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
Psalm 121:1-2
