Rocky Mountain Reflections

For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 1 Corinthians 13:12

It’s a wonderful thing to be known. It’s even more beautiful to be known by someone who loves, admires and respects what they see when they look at you. We crave intimacy and love…it’s a longing that hounds and haunts us if it’s unfulfilled. For the past three months, I have had the sweetest pleasure in being known and getting to know an amazing man.  I have a love that brings me joys I never expected. I just wanted to take a moment to thank God for him and this incredible season in my life.

I pray that if you don’t have love in your life right now, that you will turn to our sweet Lord, who knows you better than you know yourself. He can fulfill those intimate longings, those groanings for love that stir so deeply down inside us. We were created to be known…let Him know you…let Him love you.

The Northern Hotel

The photo challenge this week is Lines & Patterns. This is the Northern Hotel in Fort Collins, which was remodeled in the Art Deco style in 1936. Back in the day, visitors included Franklin D. Roosevelt, John Wayne, Olivia DeHaveland, and Vincent Price. It is now serves as low income housing for seniors and home to Starbucks 🙂

Life has been complete insanity for the past month and I haven’t been able to read the posts of my inspiring fellow bloggers or post myself. I’m amazed at how much I missed seeing your posts and participating in the creative process. I appreciate more than ever the power of creativity to refresh and revive us. I’m so glad to be part of the WordPress community 🙂

Roman Colosseum in lights

After nature, the most majestic masterpiece I have ever seen is the entire city of Rome, Italy. Had to give her a shout out for this challenge, so here stands the Colosseo to represent her. Since everyone on the planet knows what the Roman Colosseum looks like, I took liberty and added some magic to this photo 🙂

Photo Challenge Unique: F22 Raptor

The $150 million F22 Raptor.  “Despite a protracted and costly development period, the United States Air Force considers the F-22 a critical component of U.S. tactical air power, and claims that the aircraft is unmatched by any known or projected fighter.” (Wikipedia)  I wouldn’t want to be caught by one of these!
