Halloween Quest

Mr Craig quested for and eventually caught me. Halloween last year, just weeks after our wedding.

“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7

Fire Edge

I got married nine months ago and it’s taken me that long to return to blogging. I’m excited to be back especially since I’ve upgraded from an iPhone to a Sony A6000, woo hoo!

Fire Edge is my submission for this week’s photo challenge. This scripture is where I got the idea for my blog so I’m including it for this photo:

“‘When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap to the very edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest. Leave them for the poor and for the foreigner residing among you. I am the Lord your God.’” Leviticus 23:22

Ice Season

Undoubtedly the most amazing seasonal sport I have ever seen: Colorado’s Ouray Ice Park. See the ice climbers in the middle of the photo. A festival is held each January for climbers of all skill levels at this man made park in one of the most beautiful gorges in Colorado.  Breathtaking!

The breath of God produces ice, and the broad waters become frozen.

Job 37:10 (NIV)

Valentine Poem

EngagedYou are the…

Song for my verse
Pet for my cat
Wheels for my trip
Train for my track

Clean for my mess
Star for my play
Feet for my dance
Sun for my gray

Race for my car
Ball for my game
Boat for my sail
Last for my name

Brand for my cards
Laugh for my tears
Go for my slow
Balm for my fears

Kiss for my lips
Joy for my heart
Have for my hold
Till death do us part

My sweet friend Linda gave me the honor of being a guest contributor on her blog, so I thought I’d share it on mine 🙂 It gives the story behind a picture I had posted earlier…maybe I should share more stories…it’s hard to know how much to share.

I don’t usually reblog (actually, this is my first time) but I really needed to hear this and I bet there are others who do, too. God bless us everyone 🙂

Penguin partyEvery year my family gathers around the television to watch the original story of Scrooge – The Muppet Christmas Carol.

It’s a story of regret, of choices made, of the wrong priorities. It is about the chance to see the ramifications of our actions, the opportunity to live life over again. Michael Caine is taken to see his wasted and destroyed life and witnesses the series of misguided decisions that served to create a ruined life. One especially poignant scene is where he watches his younger self give up the love of his life because of his lust for money and selfishness. As Scrooge watches the scene unfold, we can see the emotions playing out over his face. We can imagine what is going through his mind: What a fool he had been! How his life would have been different if he had married, if his heart hadn’t been…
