I think we are all searching for truth. I know I’ve been digging for it all my life. Gleaning is the act of slowly gathering something, bit by bit. That’s how truth comes to us, a nugget at a time. We live in a world where we must have everything NOW. I’m like that, I admit it! And I want it the Burger King way, MY way. But truth comes at the most unexpected times, in the most peculiar ways, and always changes my preconceived ideas of what it should be.
This blog will chronicle my path as I glean those nuggets and share what I find with words and photographs. My hope is that the bits of truth and beauty I stumble upon might speak to you, too. This post sums up my search and Why I’m Still Alive Today…
I am a former expatriate, Third Culture Kid, grew up on 3 continents, and traveled to 33 countries. Now I live in Colorado so many of my photos will show the beauty of this amazing place. I still travel but not as much as in my childhood.

I like the expression “gleaning the nuggets” – it suggest a slow process and a careful searching for whatever may be there that could be missed if we don’t look closely…
