A Split Second in Wisconsin

Chef’s Hat Cafe in Ephraim, Wisconsin is my Split-Second Story submission.  We thoroughly enjoyed the charm of this delightful cafe’ with the back drop of Eagle Harbor. This was my first trip to Wisconsin and I was very impressed. The clear lakes, the green sloping hills, the towering trees, and the laid back way of life is the perfect prescription for tension and stress.

Chef's Hat Cafe, Wisconsin

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion?
Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you.
Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”
Matthew 11:28 MSG

  2. Looks like a wonderful retreat. In our 20 years of living in Iowa, we have enjoyed the unique beauty of the Heartland. I’m glad you had the opportunity to experience it and am grateful you know the Source of true rest.
